About CalcOcean

CalcOcean makes everyday calculations quick, clear and accessible.

Who CalcOcean is

CalcOcean is a multilingual collection of free browser-based calculators and educational references. It covers mathematics, finance, business, dates, education, health and fitness, unit conversions and everyday planning without requiring an account.

Our mission

Our goal is to turn a numerical question into an answer that can be understood and checked. A useful result includes the formula, units, assumptions and limitations—not only a number.

What you can calculate

The collection includes percentages, loans, interest, margins, grades, dates, body measurements, energy estimates and common conversions. Topic pages help visitors choose a tool instead of guessing from a long undifferentiated list.

How the calculators work

Inputs are validated and passed to a formula engine in the browser. The interface then presents the result with an explanation; invalid dates, missing values, non-finite numbers and impossible operations are rejected where the formula requires it.

Formula transparency and quality checks

Deterministic formulas are checked with worked numerical examples and automated regression tests. Tests can confirm that code matches a stated example, but they do not constitute independent specialist review or guarantee that a model fits every real situation.

Privacy and accessibility

Calculator values are processed in the browser. Where calculation history is available, up to 50 successful entries can be stored in that browser profile and cleared by the visitor. Pages use labelled fields, semantic headings, keyboard focus and responsive layouts; CalcOcean has not claimed an independent WCAG audit.

Editorial standards and sources

Educational pages distinguish direct arithmetic from facts that require a source. When a rule, definition or health reference may change, CalcOcean prefers primary documentation from public bodies, standards organizations, universities or original publications.

Accuracy, assumptions and limitations

A mathematically correct result can still depend on incomplete inputs or simplified assumptions. Financial tools may omit fees and local rules, while health outputs are educational estimates rather than diagnoses or individualized prescriptions.

Languages and content availability

All calculators are available in English, French, Spanish, German and Arabic, including right-to-left presentation for Arabic. Articles and reference guides are translated only when a complete localized version is available; CalcOcean does not silently substitute English text inside another language edition.

Contact, feedback and corrections

Corrections and accessibility feedback can be sent to support@calcocean.com with the page URL, non-sensitive example inputs, the expected result and the observed result. Private medical, tax, payment or account documents should never be included.
